Effective Communication: Emphasizing a Word or Thought.
To further ensure that the important part of your message is understood, you can highlight key words or phrases, as in the following example.
Example:
Hi Wayne,
Are monthly status reports enough?
I can be MORE productive.
I could use the time I save to do BILLABLE work!
 
Alternately, some people emphasize a word by placing it in quotation marks or between other symbols:
I can be more “productive.”
I can be more **productive.**
