Article on effective communication and Emoticons

Before you begin using emoticons be aware that not
everyone appreciates their use. Some see it as juvenile and
un businesslike. There are very few places where a smiley
face can cause anger, but for some people E-mail is one.

To those people I say LOOSEN UP! <grin>.

The idea is to create a picture using only the standard characters available on your keyboard, since all E-mail systems can support these in a message. (Turn you head sideways to the left if you are having difficulty seeing the faces.)

;-) mischievous face

:-( sad face

:-0 shock or disbelief
