22. Avoid blind copies
Effective Communication: Should You Use Blind Copies?
A lot of E-mail systems can send blind copies as well as carbon copies. Blind copies let you send a copy to a second recipient without the knowledge of the first recipient. You might send a blind copy to keep someone in the conversation, even if they are not an ongoing member of the information loop. The recipient of your original message can see who you sent carbon copies to; they don’t know who received blind copies. Also be aware that some E-mail gateways may block messages that are sent to the recipient using the BCC (blind copy) field.
