The most common complaint of E-mail users is “too many messages,” and many of the messages are junk mail. That is anything that contains little or no value to the reader and is
a nuisance. Those small interruptions steal your attention and break the flow of your day, and can mask important issues.
The term “spam” is used to describe mass mailings or any broadcasted junk mail, and sales information is the worst. Are you a spammer on your corporate network? Are people tired of hearing about your recruitment drive for the company softball team or worthy cause?
Eliminating over-communication is the first step in effective communication.
